So I got denied insurance, cause Anthem sucks. But my parents appealed it, and now I have their most basic and lame insurance. But still! This is good.
Last night my beautiful friend Katie helped me put together a resume. Mostly we just listened to music and ate Cocoa Krispies, which is even better.
Right now I'm watching my fantastic roommate Rachael and her boyfriend Matt (basically also my roommate, to be honest) play Beatles Rock Band. It's her first time playing, and watching her face light up with pure joy playing on the easy level is really awesome.
Basically, a lot of dumb things have been happening but I'm feeling pretty good about life at this exact moment in time. I have good people in my life.

Hanna's Testing Adventures
I was able to take my Government midterm in the testing center starting Monday and ending today. The thing about the testing center on Saturdays is that they hand the last test out at 3 pm and kick you out at 4 pm. I planned on taking it earlier in the week, but it was a lot of material to cover and I never seemed to actually understand what I was studying.
You know how you can study for a long time, but one day something actually kicks in and you finally get it? That moment came at 2:45 today.
If only I could keep studying! I thought. I could totally Jimmer this if I was able to postpone it until Monday. Maybe if I start studying for a midterm three weeks in advance, that moment of understanding will come a week before the test and then I'll have seven days to study stuff in such a way that it'll stick.
Oh wait, the professor gave us the study guide too late.
And that's how I failed a test.

This week I have been referred to as an apostate, that girl from Beauty and the Beast, The Class Heathen, and The Sexy Roommate. Take those however you will.
Lent is going well, and I'm proud of myself; I want to try giving up a bad habit every 40 days and maybe I'll be able to kick quite a few over a couple months. I love this time of year and I am really excited for Holy Week!
Did you give up anything for Lent?
What's your favorite part of this time of year?

Hanna's Pi Day Adventures
I just played every single site-published quiz on this site, and tomorrow I'm going to start tackling the user created quizzes. I'm actually not at all embarrassed that I spent so much time on this today.
This week I get to take my Gov midterm, and it happens to pack in the most obscene amount of information I've ever seen. The majority of the study guide is full of court cases (55 total) and concepts we've never spoken about in class--and no, that's not the classic Hiatt hyperbole; we really haven't covered most of what's on the exam! I'm confused as to why we thoroughly covered so many things in class that aren't being tested at all.
Happy Pi Day, math is awesome and I love it.

Prologue
I'm not going to use facebook anymore, but I still want to keep in touch with people--so here we are! This blog existed briefly around January of 2009, to explain the story of an ATV accident and my subsequent recovery while I was across the country from my home. And now it's back.
So in case you don't know anything about me, and also have never seen my facebook, here is all my personal information copied and pasted straight from my facebook profile. Please note: I'd like to think there's more to me than this...and it may not be the most accurate representation of who I am anyway.
Activities: making lists, making food, making faces, decreasing world suck, eating cereal, service, chewing ice, awesome conversations, sitting on roofs, ukulele, being awkward, being sassy, being ridiculous.
Interests: religion, Harry Potter, grocery stores, Selena Gomez, music, politics, forensic anthropology, chapstick, human rights, photography, Mythbusters, Star Wars.
About me: I name inanimate objects and don't remember the majority of my childhood. I spend my time making lists, being anxious, causing scenes, and hanging out in grocery stores. I enjoy organizing all varieties of shenanigans. I'm very blunt and a generally difficult person.
Favorite quotes, even though they change a lot:

There will be feasting and dancing in Jerusalem next year. I am going to make it through this year if it kills me.

Like all dreamers, I mistook disenchantment for truth.

To love is to be vulnerable.

-C.S. Lewis
It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are.
- e.e. cummings
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame, set at gas mark 'egg on your face'! ... I sort of forget what I was talking about.
-Moss, The IT Crowd
Me and Abed have an agreement. If one of us dies, we stage it to look like a suicide caused by the unjust cancellation of Firefly.
